The only thing I don't like about this forum style is I have never found an easy way to find all the new messages each time I come back here, and an easy way to read through them. If any of the pro's have some advice, I'd appreciate it. [glow=red,2,300]chriscub in Toronto[/glow] (experimenting with the formatting... ;D)

Look at the bottom of the page. There's a link to see the 10 most recent posts. Also a link to the most recent post. And when you click on each board, it has a little blue "new" next to the threads with new posts.

gotcha....
do you know if this forum system keeps cookies?
I know that some forum systems do, and you can just click on a button to show all new messages. I'm asking because if it doesn't use cookies, and just keeps a tab on my in my settings as to when I was logged in last, then I can check on messages while I'm at work too on my breaks.

Yes, it does have cookies, but if you log out when you leave you will probably have to log back in. I haven't tried it yet myself so I'm not certain. The cookies from here are under addspouse.proboards29.com on my computer, if that helps. I haven't seen an all new posts link, I'll see if I can set one up. But eventually I think most everyone will be posting in the two discussion boards and all the new posts and threads with new replies will be flagged on the boards.

Just found out one more thing. When a forum has new posts that you haven't seen yet, it has a blue dot next to it.
Of course I guess I take it for granted everyone knows you can refresh the page to see if there are new posts since you logged on for a particular session.

now that there's more messages, and you've pointed out the blue "new" flag on threads I haven't seen, I'm finding reading the messages here to be very effecient. Cool!
