My DH used to take courses at The Learning Annex in NYC. Much to our surprise, one of the courses listed for this spring is "Moving Beyond Adult ADD" by someone who "is the Founder and Executive Director of xxxxx, which offers individual coaching, workshops and teleseminars in North America and Europe." (I removed the name of the company, because I don't endorse this guy or his company one way or another.)
However, for $19.99, my DH was interested in checking out the course just to see what the guy had to say, especially since two of the main learning objectives of the course are listed as "How to improve focus and concentration" and "A simple, personalized system to address time management, procrastination and organizational challenges."
In the end, he decided not to go. I told him I already had a book upstairs that talked about these topics. I am curious, though, as to if he might learn it better hearing/seeing someone in a lecture (that's his preferred learning style) than he would from getting it from a book.
Just thought I'd post it here in case anybody else has taken it or knows someone who did and what it was like?
