The information is quoting a "Better Homes and Gardens" article from February 2005.
The one tip that jumps out at me as great for ADD households (I can vouch for it--we've been using it the last year or two) is as follows:
Time-management expert Mark Lamendola recommends putting everything you grab in the morning in one place before you go to bed at night. "Lunch bags, briefcase, purse, and anything else you'll need. You can save 20 minutes by investing five the night before," he says.

Here are some other websites I found while googling over the past few years for tips. As new people arrive all the time, I thought I'd put this on one of the boards that stays fairly static:
http://www.waymarks.com/wmnplc/homemake.html#organization Christian perspective. Scroll down to the bottom of the page, under the heading Organization. They link to various other sites, including the official websites of the ever-popular Flylady and Messies Anonymous!
http://www.additudemag.com/ This site is for ADDers but is sympathetic to the spouse and family. Various tips on ADD issues we often see, including relationship issues, bills, disorganization, etc.
And if you ever want to light a fire and check out this link. It's like a dash of cold water in the face:
Go slow, and don't get overwhelmed by it. The site seems overwhelming at first--and more than a bit corny. But it can be tremendously helpful. Our life is less chaotic because of it.

I saw a fun item featured in Oprah's magazine called the Doorganizer that seems helpful for ADDers or people like me who sometimes suffer from menopausal brain fog. It's a little canvas contraption with slots/pockets for mail, cell phone, keys, glasses--small items you are likely to walk out of the house without--and it fits right over the doorknob. You hang it on the knob to the door you will use to leave your residence. (Think of a canvas Do Not Disturb sign with handy little filing slots.) The magazine said it was $14.99 available from a particular store online. But when I went to the local store, and asked about it, they had it there, too. The clerk said they were a big holiday item. I figured for $14.99, why not, and picked out a bright red one so it would stand out. We've used it twice, and it's worked both times so far. How long it *continues* to work is another question--but it's a safer way of remembering to mail important letters than just balancing them on the knob (which I have been reduced to doing). This might work better for kids or for us than the hardcore ADDer.
